When I look at this piece, I sense myself feeling like I am underwater deep within the ocean sea. I have always loved the ocean for I have always felt closer to myself there. All the elements at play, the water from the ocean, sand from the ground, fire from the sun, and air blowing from the wind, leave me feeling complete. Some of my most profound moments of reflection took place at the ocean and this piece reflects that. I applied heat to it as well in order to give the impression of moving water. For in order to ensure our well-being, we must keep moving, like the ocean water.
