This painting was an idea gone wrong! If I am completely honest, using color always makes me anxious. I find comfort and ease with black and white and its variations. So when I decided that I'd try working with shades of purple, blue, and yellow, I was out of my element. I just couldn't seem to vibe with what I was producing. Adding texture helped but I still wasn't convinced. At first, the colors of the sky took up the entire canvas. Although my boyfriend thought it looked great and encouraged me to leave it like that, I just couldn't feel it. So OBVIOUSLY, I added some mountains to the piece and OBVIOUSLY, they had to be in black and gray. Now, THIS was something that I can get behind.
